I'm going in!
After a sketchy day yesterday I'm up and slowly prepping to head back to work this morning. My symptoms have dulled to a froggy throat and slightly soar neck. The fever, headaches, chills, aches -- all gone! Yesterday morning Sarah took me in to the local (and, boy, do I mean local -- less than a mile away!) urgent care facility. Having not eaten enough that morning I felt pretty dizzy and had to get pretty low to the ground a couple times so I didn't faint. Yeah, crap, I know. After a little bit I was having my temperature, blood pressure, blood oxygen level, and all sorts of other vitals taken. The doctor that saw me had me take a chest x-ray and was open enough to explain some of the details of what she'd be looking for. I even got to see the x-ray charts before leaving! Although she didn't find all the signs of bronchitis in me there were enough signs pointing to it that she prescribed me some preventative medications in case we simply caught it early.
I really feel like she was spot on (thanks Dr. Brown!). After staying home again from work and taking my newly prescribed drugs I was no longer experiencing any fever, aches, or shortness of breath like earlier in the day. This morning, I'm left with a few lingering symptoms that aren't preventing me from doing something as simple as typing this entry which, a day or two ago, wasn't really even possible. I don't often get that sick but when I come out of it the air outside sure smells just that much sweeter.
